The first, is how easily the dwarfs let the prince take Snow White. From the prince's perspective, he went from willing to pay for the girl, to following up with a request to get it for free. I find that sequence of offers quite illogical and it would have made more sense for the dwarfs to get something out of it. They let the girl go for nothing and that sort of contradicts how much they claimed to value her considering how they kept her in a glass box and took turns taking care of the body.
The second section I believe to be quite illogical is the part where the part of the poisonous apple she bit off came out when the servants dropped her. Thats not really how poison works. Yes it is a fairy tale, but the over all realism is very off with a particular aspect of nature which shouldn't have to be.
The final section which I found to be very illogical is the final part where the queen decided to go see Snow white at her wedding. How did she believe it to be wise to go visit the girl who she tried to kill three times before expecting everything to be okay? She literally walked in to her death. For someone who was very obsessed with her own image and what she represented, she risked it all to go see Snow white. After all , she was a Queen and should have had a lot of wealth in her life to just let it go. The reading does not even say that the Queen was going to attempt to kill Snow White once more, she just decided it was a good idea to go.
Over all, the story seemed very rushed at first glance and lacked a lot of detail. If a kid were to read this I feel like there would be a lot of questions along the course of the story which could have easily been answered with a little more detail.
Once I read the annotations and read the story once more, a lot of the choices the authors made started to make more sense. Things such as the way that the Queen decided to attempt the murders were given a deeper meaning and the story started to fit together with a little more sense. The problem I have with this is , there is no way a child could have understood these underlying messages. This version of the story was supposed to be specifically made for children and I think they missed their audience entirely. The overall progression and meaning of the story feels choppy and confusing without the understanding of the annotations and a child could certainly feel the same.
