Intro Post- Bridget Mussafer

Hi! My name is Bridget Mussafer and I am from Weston, MA. Weston is about 20 minutes (without traffic) away from Boston and I have lived in Weston my entire life. I am 19 years old and have always enjoyed playing with dogs (especially puppies), watching and playing sports, and hanging out with my friends and family. I have three older siblings, 2 sisters and a brother. My brother is the oldest and graduated from Duke in 2015. My oldest sister went to a different school while my other sister and I have followed in my brother's footsteps at Duke. My sister is a senior here and it has been so nice having her as I have transitioned to school here.
Throughout my life, I have always run cross country and played basketball and lacrosse. It has been an adjustment not playing any sports at Duke as sports had always consumed my life up until this year. I am really enjoying my year so far and was really hoping to get into this Disney class this semester. I have always been a big Disney fan. I love the movies, tvs shows, songs, and theme parks. Some of my favorite memories have revolved around singing Disney songs with my friends in the car or going on fun rides at Disney world.
Writing was always tough for me growing up, it was never really something I enjoyed very much as I wasn't very good at it. It wasn't until junior year that I began to change the way I viewed writing. My junior year English teacher was the hardest teacher I have ever had but also the most amazing teacher I've ever had. He pushed me to become a better writer and helped me to gain confidence in myself. It was that year that I began to see that I was a good writer if I was interested and passionate in what I was writing about. I was so excited when I found out I was taking this class as I am very interested and passionate about Disney and knew that writing for this class would be much more fun because of this. I am very excited about what this class will teach me and about all the fun and interesting things I will learn!
