I’m Christine and I love to travel, eat good food, hang out with friends, and watch Netflix. I am currently a part of the Duke Club Sailing team and volunteer for FEMMES. I love dogs, which is great for me because I always see dogs around on Duke’s campus. I feel like I grew up watching the Disney channel and all of its TV shows with my favorite was probably Hannah Montana. I also love Disney World, specifically Hollywood Studios and Tower of Terror is by far my favorite ride.
I signed up for this class due to my love of Disney movies and because it seemed like the most interesting writing class that I could possibly find. Also I don’t really enjoy writing, but combining writing with Disney seemed like the best way for me to enjoy my Writing 101 experience.
This semester I’d like to study and discuss the some of the original versions of my favorite Disney movies like Mulan and Frozen because I don’t even know basically any of the original versions. I only vaguely know the original version of Cinderella because it was mentioned in the description for this class. I would also like to gain more Disney knowledge because I really don’t know that much about Disney even though I watch so many of their movies.
